About Me

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website!

I'm an artist based in Whitley Bay in the North East of England.  As you can imagine, living by the coast gives me plenty of inspiration for my paintings!  I live in the centre of the town with my partner Martin and our ragdoll cat Hamish.  My studio consists of an easel and desk in our front room - it's small but perfectly formed!

I've lived in the North East nearly all of my life, apart from four years spent at the University of Glasgow, where I studied Psychology.  Originally I intended to become a Clinical Psychologist, but it turned out that it wasn't meant to be.  After a few years spent just creating paintings and drawings for friends and family, I finally decided to set up a website and online store to show my art to a wider audience.  I currently work for the NHS three days a week, and I spend the other two days working on my business.

At the moment the majority of my work is inspired by the coastline around Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth.  No two days are the same around here - I don't think I could ever get tired of living by the sea!  I'm hoping to expand my horizons a bit by adding some Northumberland and North Yorkshire-based paintings to my range too.  We're so lucky to live in this part of the country.  There are so many beautiful places around here that I often feel like we're spoiled for choice!

All of my current work is available to purchase on here, but I also have a few local stockists - you can view these by clicking on the 'Stockists' link on the home page menu.  You can hear about my latest work through signing up to my email list and by following me on social media (I'm on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter - links at the bottom of this page). If you have any comments or requests, please get in touch using the 'Contact' link.  I'd love to hear from you!
